Losena sighting

Monday, June 4, 2018

Losena was supposed to go on her mission in May but her visa wasn't ready so she got to be a VISA WAITER in our mission:  FIJI SUVA MISSION.  She is such an AWESOME missionary!!  Hasn't even been to the MTC and yet she just knows how to be a great missionary.

We went to Suva last week and found out where she is living. So, we got in a taxi cab and hunted her down.  We were so happy to see her in her new missionary life.  She is SO happy.

Our mission president told us that he wishes he could just keep this girl here because she is amazing.  But, I think she wants to get on with her mission and go to the MTC and then on to Zimbabwe, Africa.  Sure wish there were more Losena's in this world.

Homemaking Day...Enrichment Day...Additional R S Meeting?

Sunday, June 3, 2018

I'm not sure what they call it in the U.S. but here in Fiji we call it Homemaking Day.  We got together with a few sisters in Nabua (about an hour from Savusavu) to do a little sewing.

We need to make some items to show at our "Relief Society Showcase" at our next District Conference in July.  If you go back in my blogs, I did a post called Relief Society.  That was from the last District Conference showcase.  So this week we are making new things for our next showcase.

It's a BIG DEAL here!  Each branch makes handicrafts and presents them to all of the branches.  It shows what each branch has been working on for the past six months.

So, we got together in Nabua and sewed up some really cute bags.  The ladies just loved it!  We made an entire day of it.  Sewed from 10 am  - 3 pm.  Had a great lunch made by the sisters.  It was a wonderful day!!
